Thomas entered the MTC today

After spending just 11 days at home, Thomas entered the Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC) today. He will spend the next 10 weeks learning how to be a missionary and the Malay language. While he will miss his family and friends, he is excited to embark on this 2-year journey and to share the gospel with the people in Singapore and Malaysia.  Thomas thanks everyone for the amazing support he has received, especially his relatives, his great friends at Caltech, and his Church friends both in SoCal and in San Francisco.

His older brother, Ben, flew to Salt Lake City with Thomas and took him to the MTC.

Thomas Kwok is going to serve in the Singapore Mission

Thomas received his mission call on Friday, April 30, 2010 and was overjoyed to find that he'd be called serve in the English/Malaysian program of the Singapore Mission. Thomas is really excited because his older brother, Ben, served in that same mission from Aug 2007 to Aug 2009. In addition, Thomas spent the summer of 2009 in Singapore where he worked at the Genome Institute of Singapore as a summer intern. He has fond memories of all the nice people he met there and he looks forward to serving under Pres. Clark, whom he met last summer.
